In the video, there are prime examples of paid advertising. However, you do not need to spend more money than your competition to necessarily beat them. When searching on Google, there tend to be ads in the first 1-8 results. Personally, I know that I do not click on the ads because that is not what I’m looking for. I’m sure I am not the only one who does this. I’m looking for the keywords and meta description that match what I’m searching. Ads do not do this, they are simply there to raise awareness and increase volume of the company. Companies that are paying to have their ads at the top of the search results may be paying more than a company that is more successful and have higher click results. In conclusion, you do not need to pay more to “win” because the odds are, people aren’t going to click your ad, they want the information quickly and straightforward.
