Segmentation gives you the opportunity to take your audience as a whole and divide it into 4 different characteristics. These characteristics are demographics, psychographics, lifestyle traits, and behavior.

Hinge is a fairly new company that has surpassed its competitors and has become one of the best, if not the best online dating app. The two ways I would segment emails for Hinge would be through demographics and lifestyle traits. I pick these two because the app is made for dating. Therefore, individuals are looking for other people who are within their location and have similar traits.
